Meet the Waypoint Team
Founder & Chief Strategist
Sarah Lehmann is Principal and Founder of Waypoint Collective leading a team of senior-level strategists, creatives, project managers, and technical experts in executing strategic and creative branding solutions.
Sarah’s passion lies in serving as a thought partner for nonprofit, education, and social impact organizations helping them craft results that elevate their visibility, communicate their unique value, and achieve the key goals of their mission.
For nearly two decades, Sarah has specialized in brand strategy, communications, marketing, and donor relations for nonprofit and impact-driven organizations. Prior to launching Waypoint, Sarah was co-owner of Ebb+Flow Creative and prior to that served as the vice president of marketing and communications for the Denver Public Schools Foundation. It was there that she helped execute a strategy that realized 112 percent growth in fundraising revenue from $6.6 million to $14.1 million during her five-year tenure. Before moving to the greater Denver area, Sarah served as marketing and public relations manager at the Vail Valley Foundation. Sarah began her career in 2002 as a reporter for the Vail Daily, and still considers herself a journalist and storyteller at heart.
In her free time, Sarah’s passions include volunteering with youth development and educational organizations, supporting other women in business, championing breast cancer research, and working to break down the stigma around mental health. She can also be found hiking, skiing and cheering on her Tarheels (often slopeside) with her husband Jon, or simply soaking in the Colorado sky alongside her three dogs.
Paul has nearly 20 years of experience in marketing, communications, and media. He has spent time working for agencies and in high-level marketing roles for non-profit organizations specializing in education, arts & entertainment, adventure sports, environmental sustainability, climate action, and natural sciences. At his core, his purpose is simply to build a brighter future.
His focus with Waypoint is digital strategy, CRM, media, and branding. He has launched countless websites and overhauled tech stacks to help non-profits better leverage their own data while increasing leads for corporate sales, fundraising, and events. He's implemented and improved automation and workflows across multiple systems including donor CRM, events management, and marketing/sales. He has also managed paid media campaigns nationally and internationally across countless mediums. From TikTok to OTT, he's placed it.
Paul is a Colorado Native who spends most of his time on the Western Slope with his wife, two daughters, two birds, and two dogs. He'll admit, "it's a circus" but at least he has a ticket. In his free time, he can (or can't?) be found camping, climbing, paddling or skiing.

Senior Content Strategist & Writer
Kristi Fisher has been a leader in the Colorado advertising community as writer, creative director, brand strategist and storyteller. She has been the creative director of a large agency, partner in a mid-sized agency and founder of her own company. She has dedicated her career to using her creative talents and expertise to do good work for good products, good causes and good people. And she loves partnering with same-minded, savvy changemakers like the team here at Waypoint Collective.
Kristi has won local, regional and national recognition including being chosen for awards in The One Show, Print Magazine, Communication Arts and The Denver 50, and was voted best freelance writer in Denver by the Denver Ad Club in the past.
She believes in the marriage of creative innovation and strategic brand smarts. She makes sure every communications tool is working hardest, smartest, and in the most compelling, refreshing and memorable way possible. She has poured her words into print, web, digital, broadcast, outdoor, collateral, grassroots and point of purchase for huge national clients like Celebrity Cruises and Pentax Cameras and local, regional and national schools, hospitals, non-profits and initiatives.
Kristi believes every brand has a unique and powerful story that should be told, and she is adamant about finding a brand’s purpose and strategically communicating a brand’s soul vs. simply trying to “sell.”
When she’s not writing or thinking about writing, Kristi is equally passionate about hiking Colorado’s trails with her husband. Two 14’rs are checked off and more are on the to-do list.
