Meet the Waypoint Team
Founder & Chief Strategist
Sarah Lehmann is Principal and Founder of Waypoint Collective. In 2015, Sarah became co-owner and lead strategist at Ebb+Flow Creative after more than a decade working in communications for non-profit and fundraising organizations. Then in 2019, she returned to her roots to focus entirely on nonprofit and impact-driven organizations and campaigns, launching Waypoint Collective. Sarah’s passion lies in the opportunity to serve as a true thought partner for clients, working alongside them to help identify the most powerful ways to convey the unique value and resounding impact of their organization and their work.
Previously, Sarah served as the vice president of marketing and communications for the Denver Public Schools Foundation, where she helped shape the vision and executed the strategy that realized 112 percent growth in fundraising revenue from $6.6 million to $14.1 million during her five-year tenure. Sarah also directed all marketing and fundraising communications for the organization, set strategy and oversaw a team that handled community outreach, branding, design, web communications, media relations and social media.
Prior to that, Sarah served as marketing and public relations manager at the Vail Valley Foundation from 2005 to 2010, where she spearheaded marketing for art, athletic and education programs across the Vail Valley and throughout Eagle County. Sarah began her career in the high country in 2002 as a reporter for the Vail Daily and continued writing for the newspaper through 2010. Sarah is still a journalist and storyteller at heart.
Sarah’s volunteer work centers around youth development and organizations that close the educational equity gap, empower women in business and break down the stigma around mental health.
